Milestone event to feature expanded activities, memorial tributes, and community resources
DALLAS, TX — The Hear My Cry Foundation will host its 10th Annual Motorcycle Ride 4 Suicide Awareness on Saturday, July 19, 2025, marking a decade of breaking the stigma around suicide and supporting those affected by it. This milestone event will be the largest yet, with expanded activities and remembrance opportunities.
The event will begin at Ben Gill Park in Terrell, TX at 10:00 AM for registration, with kickstands up at 11:00 AM. Riders will travel to Les Zeiger Park in DeSoto, TX, where a community event will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The community event is free to the public and will feature raffles, bounce houses, vendors, DJ entertainment, and food.
“For ten years, this event has brought our community together to remember those we’ve lost to suicide and to support those who are struggling,” said the Hear My Cry Foundation Director. “What began as a small gathering has grown into a powerful movement of hope and healing.”
Since its inception in 2016, the Ride 4 Suicide Awareness event has raised over $150,000 to support counseling services, educational programs, and community resources. The funds have directly impacted thousands of individuals through crisis intervention training, school-based prevention programs, and support groups for loss survivors.
The 10th anniversary event will feature a special memorial display with yard signs honoring those lost to suicide. Families can purchase memorial yard signs for $25, with proceeds supporting the foundation’s ongoing work.
Registration for riders is $25, and all participants will receive a commemorative 10th anniversary t-shirt. Non-riders are welcome to join the community event at Les Zeiger Park, which is free and open to the public.

Recommendations for responsible reporting on suicide and mental health
When reporting on suicide and mental health, responsible coverage can help reduce stigma and potentially save lives. We encourage all media representatives to follow these guidelines:
Include resources for help (such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)
Report on suicide as a public health issue
Use respectful language (e.g., “died by suicide” rather than “committed suicide”)
Emphasize that suicide is preventable and help is available
Avoid sensationalizing or glamorizing suicide
Avoid detailed descriptions of method
Avoid simplistic explanations for suicide
Avoid presenting suicide as a solution to problems
Avoid using stigmatizing language
